Welcome to First Congregational Church, A Different Kind of Church.....................

Who Are We?

We are a congregation of friendly and open people who have discovered the freedom and joy of genuine faith. We are parents, singles, teens, children, and seniors who live out our faith daily in our varied walks of life. As a member of the United Church of Christ, we come from an unusually broad mix of denominational backgrounds, including Roman Catholic, Presbyterian, Baptist, Episcopal, Lutheran, and Quaker.

An Inclusive Community

Founded on the principle of religious freedom, we are a church with a rich history of progressive thought and action. A strong mission of outreach to the socially and economically disenfranchised is central to our ministry. In all aspects of our life and mission, First Congregational Church welcomes and affirms people of every race, age, gender, marital circumstance, sexual orientation, physical or psychological ability, economic condition, ethnic origin and theological tradition.

World Vision Presentation
Sunday, November 16 at 11:30am in Patton Auditorium
The Boards of Christian Education and Outreach invite you to join us for an after-church program on Sunday, November 16 in Patton Auditorium. We will be joined by two representatives of World Vision. They will talk with us about global poverty issues by sharing some of their personal experiences in the battle against extreme poverty in Africa and elsewhere.

All are welcome to join us. We will offer some light fare along with this great chance to find out more about what World Vision is doing and how we can help. Mark your calendars and make plans to join us.
