“Youth is happy because it has the capacity to see beauty. Anyone who keeps the ability to see beauty never grows old.” – Franz Kafka
For the past nine years the youth group has been going on summer Mission Trips. We have worked with service organizations and projects in West Virginia, Wyoming, Ohio, Lousiana, Pennsylvania, Texas, Vermont, Chicago and Washington DC. Among other service activities we have assisted with building projects, worked in soup kitchens, thrift stories and food banks, helped with the elderly, worked with children and adults with special needs and more. All the while we have had fun, made new friends and forged stronger bonds with old ones.
TAG * THE * BAG
And help the FCC Summer Youth Mission Trip to Denver, Colorado!
Here’s how it works: We purchased a backpack for the trip to Denver, Colorado. The name of each person who donates any amount of money will be written (tagged) in black ink on the backpack... a tangible, visual reminder of all the people that care for us and pray for us while we are away. The bag will be carried throughout our journey. Please Tag The Bag and be a part of something really special, even if you cannot physically join us.
Donations can be made during Coffee Hour and through the website. DONATE

SUMMER 2017 MISSION TRIP UPDATE AND SAVE THE DATE!
The Mission trippers are working on their plans for the Summer 2017 trip to Denver where they are excited to once again be serving with DOOR (Discovering Opportunities for Outreach and Reflection.) This is the same organization that we served with in San Antonio and Chicago. Currently there are over forty youth and adults signed up to go. There will be a meeting for all mission trippers and their families in February. Information will be sent by email. We will be doing some fundraising a bit differently this year since we will not be doing the tag sale in May. More news on this in the next Congregationalist.
