Faith for the In-Between Years
With the always-fun (and delightfully silly!) leadership of Joe Regan, 5th–8th graders meet during worship each week to roll up their sleeves and serve others, laughter very much included!
Youth@First is designed especially for this in-between season of life. Middle schoolers are often longing for the comfort and joy of childhood while also beginning to ask bigger questions, wrestle with doubt, and seek deeper meaning. This program holds space for both. Here, students get to have fun, be themselves, and stay delightfully kid-like, while also exploring what faith looks like as they grow.
Through hands-on service projects (like making lunches for neighbors experiencing homelessness), students explore theology beyond words. They learn what it means to follow Jesus by loving their neighbors, practicing compassion, and responding to the needs of the world around them. Along the way, they’re encouraged to ask thoughtful questions, reflect on what they’re hearing in worship, and connect faith with real life.
Youth@First is a vibrant, joy-filled community where young people build friendships, grow in their faith, and discover that serving side by side can be both meaningful and fun—every single Sunday.
