Join the Readers and Riders for an experience in the traditional craft of spinning as it was practiced for centuries.

This demonstration explores fiber processing, beginning with raw fleece and continuing through preparation and spinning into finished yarn. The presenter will demonstrate the use of both the drop spindle and the spinning wheel while discussing the tools, skills, and labor involved in textile production.

Attendees can examine and compare a range of plant and animal fibers, gaining a deeper appreciation for the materials that shaped communities throughout history. All are welcome to attend.
