8/9/26 - Out of the (Toy) Box: Play-Doh

Three cans. Three perfect colors. The deep blue, eye-popping red, and a yellow that doesn't exist in nature.

But give it an hour - those beautiful bright primary colors turned into that grey-brown that every Play-Doh set in the history of the world eventually becomes. (Some of you probably had a system. It didn't work. Nobody's system worked.)

On Sunday we pull the Play-Doh out of the box and do what every kid does: make a snake, smash it flat, make a pancake, smash it, make a very lumpy red, blue, and yellow streaked dog. Because Play-Doh is the one toy that's never finished. And neither, it turns out, are we.
