INFANTS & Toddlers
We offer Childcare every Sunday during Worship, which is staffed by our dedicated paid professional care-givers. This nurturing and loving space provides parents of young children peace of mind and the ability to enjoy the worship service knowing their child is receiving excellent care.
Prek - 8th Grade
Our Sunday School program is designed to foster an environment where faith can thrive! Questions are encouraged, excitement is palpable, and the adults who staff our program are engaging, caring, and thrilled to be there!
Our program has recently gone through some exciting changes that will create a space for children and youth of all ages to engage their faith. It’s a three-part program each Sunday:
Family Worship: Children begin in Worship with their families. This time nurtures a family experience of faith, as we sing, pray, and greet one another in the name of Christ. Then children are invited to the front steps of the Sanctuary for a teaching moment created just for them. After this “Word with Children,” kids through 8th grade are dismissed to Sunday School, while parents remain in Worship.
Large-Group Worship: Held in the newly-renovated Loft, all ages gather together for a time of worship that fosters a sense of life-long participation in the life of the church. It loosely mimics the major elements of our regular worship service, easing the transition to full-church participation for post-Sunday School kids as they enter into Confirmation. Elements of this large-group worship include:
A warmup/attention/ice-breaking activity
Opening song
Time of prayer (including writing the prayers to be hung on our new Prayer Wall)
Offering, benefitting various service causes to pique interest in giving back and introducing the concept of tithing (by filling our Change for Change jar)
Introducing the bible story for that week, either by reading the story bible or watching a video
Closing Song
3. Small-Group Sessions: Following the large-group worship, children and students divide into their age-groups (PreK - 3rd grade and 4th - 8th grade) for a hands-on activity or music session. Each week, groups will switch which Sunday School teacher will lead their small-group activity, giving them the opportunity to get to know both of our wonderful instructors and engage with faith in new, exciting ways!
